Conquer iconic star dunes and feel the ancient stillness that stretches endlessly. 3. Sleep under the endless sky
Experience stargazing in one of the darkest and clearest night skies in the world. Weather permitting, you can join the resident astronomer to explore the mysteries of the Namibian sky at the lodge's state-of-the-art observatory, equipped with a 12-inch Meade LX200R telescope. This is the ideal place to marvel at brilliant constellations, the vast Milky Way, and distant, enigmatic planets. With the nearest town 140 km from the lodge, the area is completely free of light pollution, offering one of the darkest night skies ever recorded globally.

-
5. Explore freely in your own way
Explore the reserve at your own pace on trails designed for absolute tranquility. Experience e-biking or walking through the vast desert landscape, where minimalist beauty and endless space unfold before your eyes. 6. Stories carved deep into the earth
Connect with the region's rich cultural and historical heritage through its people, landscapes, and indigenous traditions. Explore heritage sites, admire ancient rock art, and learn about the long-standing culture of one of South Africa's oldest communities. At the same time, the journey also takes you to explore the unique geology of the area, where dunes are constantly shaped by the wind (Aeolian processes), creating an ever-changing and magnificent landscape.
